The Chanscope II by Ametek is a dew-point analyzer. The unit has a maximum pressure of 5 000 psig.

Natural gas pipeline operations are significantly affected by the presence or formation of liquids within the gas pipeline. The dew point of the natural gas must be regularly checked to guarantee that troublesome liquid formation does not occur in the pipeline.

Operators and technicians find it difficult to use the standard Bureau of Mines Dew Point Tester in finding out the dew point of the natural gas. Its mirror was hard to view in daylight; at night it was almost impossible.
